covers this website and the early access waitlist form on it
this page collects two things, only if you type them in: your first name and your email address. that is the whole list. there are no cookies, no analytics, and nothing that follows you anywhere.
1. what this covers
this notice is about this website and the waitlist form on it. it is not the privacy policy for the spur iOS app. the app collects different things for different reasons, and it ships with its own fuller policy when it launches.
2. what we collect
if you fill in the waitlist form and submit it, we store:
- the first name you typed
- the email address you typed
- a short label for where the signup came from (for example, this website)
- the date and time you signed up
if you do not submit the form, we store nothing about your visit. reading this page, scrolling the landing page, or tapping the moves on it records nothing at all.
3. what we do not do
- no cookies. this site sets none, of any kind.
- no analytics. there is no google analytics, no plausible, no facebook pixel, no third party measurement of any kind.
- no tracking. we do not follow you across other sites or apps, and we do not build a profile of you.
- no ads, and no advertising identifiers.
- we do not sell, rent, or share your details with anyone for their own purposes.
- no third party scripts or fonts. the page loads nothing from anyone else. the type is fonts already on your device.
4. why we collect it
one reason: so we can email you when early access opens. we may also email you once or twice before that with real news about the app. that is it. we are not going to hand your address to a newsletter tool and start a drip campaign.
5. who else touches it
two service providers help run this, and they process your data on our behalf, not for their own purposes:
- Cloudflare serves this website. like any web server, it automatically processes technical data such as your IP address and basic request information in order to deliver the page and to block abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Supabase hosts the database the waitlist is stored in. it receives your signup when you submit the form. See Supabase's privacy policy.
these providers may process data on servers in the united states or other countries, which may have different data protection laws from your own.
6. how it is protected
the waitlist is not readable from this website. the page can add an address to the list and can do nothing else: it cannot read the list, edit it, or delete from it. that is enforced in the database itself, so nobody can pull the list of signups out of this page.
7. how long we keep it
until you ask us to remove it, or until the waitlist has served its purpose and we delete it. if you ask to be removed, your row is deleted outright. we do not keep a shadow copy.
8. your choices
email us and we will do any of these, free, no questions asked:
- tell you exactly what we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it and take you off the list
depending on where you live you may also have formal rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to how it is used. we will honour those requests the same way, by email.
9. children
this website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their details. if you think a child has signed up, email us and we will delete it.
10. changes
if this notice changes we will update the effective date at the top of the page. material changes will be obvious rather than quiet.
11. contact
questions, or to be removed from the list: jasonjiangpj@gmail.com
